Merrill Lynch is one of the worlds leading wealth management companies, with offices in 40 countries and total client assets totalling approximately $1.6 trillion. HBOS EES has administered a range of Deferred Compensation Benefit Plans for Merrill Lynch since 1998.
Merrill Lynch wanted to develop a secure web-based system for administering a trust running as a Deferred Bonus Scheme for senior executives, replacing the paper-based system in place, which required manual data analysis.
The new system created by HBOS EES offers a customised, secure, web-based solution, allowing participants the ability to view up to date details of their portfolios online. Work was carried out to facilitate increased participant interactivity, enabling users to make transactions, view the history of their transactions and also amend transactions online. Merrill Lynch branded, the website went live in May 2008.
